Quantity Surveyor Job in Edinburgh | £50-55k Salary

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established property and construction company with the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor.

Permanent, full-time position based in Edinburgh.

Salary

£50,000 – £55,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage cost planning and commercial activity across construction projects.
• Prepare estimates, budgets and cost plans.
• Manage tendering, procurement and subcontractor packages.
• Prepare valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and produce regular commercial reports.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and consultants throughout project delivery.
• Support contract administration and ensure projects remain commercially controlled.
• Maintain accurate financial and project records.
• Assist with delivering projects within agreed budgets and timescales.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or consultancy.
• Strong cost-management and commercial experience.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and procurement.
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Confident working directly with clients and project teams.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• MRICS or progress towards chartership would be beneficial.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
