Production Manager – Metals Manufacturing, Norwich

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established metals manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Production Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Norwich.

Salary

£60,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activity across the manufacturing site.
• Manage and develop production supervisors and wider operational teams.
• Ensure output, quality and delivery targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Plan labour, machinery and resources to meet production demand.
• Monitor productivity, downtime, waste and overall production performance.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, supply chain and senior management teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
• Maintain strong health & safety and housekeeping standards.
• Support production planning and resolve operational issues quickly.
• Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve efficiency and performance.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar.
• Strong background within metals, engineering or heavy manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading production teams and supervisors.
• Good understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Strong health & safety awareness.
• Confident managing KPIs, productivity and operational targets.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement would be advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
