Food Production Manager Job in Glasgow | £50k-£60k Salary

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established food and FMCG manufacturing business with the recruitment of a Production Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

£50,000 – £60,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production activity across the manufacturing site.
• Manage and develop production supervisors and wider operational teams.
• Ensure production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor output, labour, waste, downtime and overall production performance.
• Work closely with planning, engineering, quality and warehouse teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
• Maintain strong food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Ensure production schedules are delivered on time and customer requirements are met.
• Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Support recruitment, training and performance management across the production team.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or similar.
• Strong background within food manufacturing, FMCG or a high-volume production environment.
• Proven experience leading production teams and supervisors.
• Good understanding of food safety, quality and hygiene standards.
• Strong production planning and people-management experience.
• Confident managing KPIs, productivity and operational targets.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
