Managing Director – Construction

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a growing construction business with the recruitment of a Managing Director.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Leeds.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, growth and performance of the construction business.
• Take responsibility for operational, commercial and financial performance.
• Develop and deliver business plans aligned with long-term company objectives.
• Lead senior managers and ensure teams are performing effectively.
• Oversee major construction projects and ensure successful delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and support continued company growth.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, cash flow and overall commercial performance.
• Ensure strong standards across health and safety, quality and compliance.
• Drive operational improvements and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Report regularly on business performance and future growth opportunities.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Managing Director, Operations Director, Commercial Director or senior construction leader.
• Strong background within the construction sector.
• Proven experience managing large teams and senior managers.
• Strong commercial and financial understanding.
• Experience delivering business growth and improving operational performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Confident managing major projects, budgets and business priorities.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and construction compliance.
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and secure new opportunities.
