Managing Director, Construction - Glasgow Leadership Role

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall strategy, growth and performance of the business.
• Take responsibility for operational, commercial and financial performance.
• Drive business development and help secure new projects and client relationships.
• Lead and develop senior managers across construction, commercial and operational functions.
• Oversee major projects and ensure they are delivered safely, profitably and to a high standard.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, margins and overall business performance.
• Build strong relationships with key clients, consultants, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Develop and implement long-term business plans.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow and profitability.
• Promote a high-performance culture across the organisation.

Skills & Experience

• Senior leadership experience within the construction sector.
• Previous experience as a Managing Director, Construction Director, Operations Director or similar.
• Strong commercial and operational understanding.
• Proven track record of leading teams and improving business performance.
• Experience developing client relationships and supporting business growth.
• Confident overseeing multiple projects and senior managers.
• Strong financial awareness and understanding of construction margins and budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
