Logistics Manager Job in Manchester | Permanent Position

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established business with the recruitment of a Logistics Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Manchester.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day logistics and distribution activity.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Oversee transport planning, scheduling and carrier performance.
• Manage warehouse and stock movements where required.
• Work closely with purchasing, production and customer service teams.
• Monitor delivery performance, costs and service levels.
• Resolve transport and supply chain issues quickly and efficiently.
• Manage third-party logistics providers and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve service.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Logistics Manager, Transport Manager or similar.
• Strong background within logistics, distribution, manufacturing or supply chain.
• Experience managing transport, deliveries and operational teams.
• Good commercial awareness and cost-control experience.
• Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Confident managing suppliers, carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Good understanding of health & safety and operational compliance.
• Experience using ERP, WMS or transport management systems would be advantageous.
