Health & Safety Manager (Engineering) Job - Glasgow

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established engineering business with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety activity across engineering operations and project sites.
• Develop, implement and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Support managers and engineering teams with RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company standards.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and safety training.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance where required.
• Maintain accurate health and safety records and reporting.
• Promote a strong and proactive safety culture across the business.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager, Senior Health & Safety Advisor or similar.
• Strong background within engineering, manufacturing, construction or an industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Confident working with operational teams and senior management.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
• IOSH membership would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
