Finance Manager Job in Glasgow | Logistics & Transport | £50-60k

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established logistics and transport business with the recruitment of a Finance Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

£50,000 – £60,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance function and support senior management with financial decision-making.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance.
• Produce commercial analysis across transport, logistics and operational activity.
• Support cost control, margin analysis and profitability reporting.
• Oversee VAT, audit and statutory reporting requirements.
• Develop and improve financial controls and reporting processes.
• Work closely with operational and commercial teams to improve business performance.
• Manage and develop members of the finance team.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Management Accountant or similar.
• Experience within logistics, transport, distribution or a similar operational environment would be advantageous.
• Strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting experience.
• Good commercial awareness and ability to analyse operational performance.
• Qualified, part-qualified or experienced QBE candidates considered.
• Strong Excel and financial systems experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicating with senior management and non-finance teams.
