Design Manager Job Vacancy in Stirling | Construction & Engineering

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction and engineering business with the recruitment of a Design Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Stirling.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.
• Coordinate consultants, architects, engineers and subcontractor design teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Ensure design information is accurate, coordinated and issued on time.
• Identify and resolve design risks, clashes and technical issues.
• Work closely with project, commercial and site teams throughout delivery.
• Manage design meetings and track actions through to completion.
• Support value engineering and buildability reviews.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and client requirements.
• Maintain accurate design documentation and reporting.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Design Manager, Design Coordinator or similar.
• Strong background within construction, engineering or building services.
• Good understanding of the design and construction process.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong technical and problem-solving ability.
• Confident reviewing drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Relevant construction, engineering or architectural qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience using design management or BIM software would be beneficial.
