Contracts Manager

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Contracts Manager.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Edinburgh.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Oversee Site Managers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Monitor programmes, labour, materials and subcontractor performance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Attend progress meetings and provide regular project updates.
• Manage project risks, variations and commercial issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
• Support procurement and subcontractor appointments.
• Maintain strong client relationships and resolve project issues effectively.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager within construction.
• Strong understanding of construction project delivery.
• Experience managing multiple live projects.
• Confident leading site teams and subcontractors.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of budgets and project costs.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and construction compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.
• SMSTS and relevant construction qualifications would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
