Experienced Accountant Job - Accountancy Practice, Manchester

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established accountancy practice with the recruitment of an Accountant.

Permanent, full-time position based in Manchester.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Complete VAT returns and support with bookkeeping where required.
• Manage a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.
• Liaise directly with clients and respond to accounting and tax queries.
• Support month-end and year-end accounting requirements.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure deadlines are met.
• Work closely with senior accountants and partners on client work.
• Assist with management accounts and general advisory work where required.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts preparation experience.
• Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax requirements.
• Experience with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Confident communicating directly with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Experience with software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks would be advantageous.
• AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, part-qualification or QBE experience considered.
