Field Service Engineer

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established engineering business with the recruitment of a Field Service Engineer.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow, with travel to client sites as required.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + company van + fuel card + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
• Install and commission equipment where required.
• Complete service reports and maintain accurate job records.
• Liaise with customers and provide clear technical support.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Manage parts, tools and equipment required for site visits.
• Work independently across a varied customer base.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or similar.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on customer sites.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Confident working independently.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Relevant engineering qualification would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
