Commercial Manager

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Commercial Manager.

Permanent, full-time position based in Perth.

Salary

£60,000 – £65,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, valuations and commercial reporting.
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, appointments and commercial performance.
• Manage variations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site teams.
• Support contract negotiations and ensure commercial procedures are followed.
• Monitor project margins and overall financial performance.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Provide commercial guidance and support to the wider team.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Commercial Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar within construction.
• Strong commercial and contract-management experience.
• Good understanding of construction contracts, procurement and subcontractor management.
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness.
• Confident managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• RICS or similar professional qualification would be beneficial.
