Building Surveyor

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Building Surveyor.

Permanent, full-time position based in Aberdeen.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out building surveys, condition surveys and defect inspections.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and schedules of work.
• Advise on building defects, maintenance and refurbishment requirements.
• Support repair, refurbishment and improvement projects.
• Undertake contract administration duties where required.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Monitor project progress, quality and compliance.
• Assist with planned maintenance and property improvement programmes.
• Manage multiple instructions and ensure work is delivered to agreed timescales.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Building Surveyor or similar.
• Good knowledge of building construction, defects and maintenance.
• Experience within construction, property or consultancy would be advantageous.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing skills.
• Good organisation and project-management ability.
• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline would be beneficial.
• MRICS or progress towards chartership would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
