Quantity Surveyor

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor.

Permanent, full-time position based in Aberdeen.

Salary

Up to £65,000, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects from start to finish.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets and valuations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement and tender processes.
• Assess variations, applications for payment and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular commercial reporting.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams and clients.
• Support contract administration and ensure commercial procedures are followed.
• Maintain accurate project records and financial information.
• Help ensure projects are delivered profitably and within budget.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction.
• Strong commercial and cost-management experience.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and subcontractor management.
• Experience with valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Confident communicating with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Full UK driving licence would be beneficial.
