Health & Safety Manager

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established construction business with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Manager.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Glasgow.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety across construction projects and operational sites.
• Develop, implement and maintain company health and safety policies and procedures.
• Carry out site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Support project teams with RAMS, compliance and safe systems of work.
• Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and health and safety training.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance.
• Produce reports and provide health and safety updates to senior management.
• Promote a strong and proactive safety culture across the business.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager, Senior Health & Safety Advisor or similar within construction.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience carrying out audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Confident working with site teams, managers and subcontractors.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent would be highly advantageous.
• IOSH membership would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
