MRICS Building Surveyor

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting a leading construction company with the recruitment of an MRICS Building Surveyor.

Permanent position. This role will be based in Edinburgh.

Salary

Fully negotiable, depending on experience + additional benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out building surveys, condition surveys and defect inspections.
• Prepare technical reports, schedules of condition and specifications.
• Provide advice on building defects, maintenance and refurbishment works.
• Manage repair, refurbishment and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
• Undertake contract administration duties where required.
• Prepare schedules of works and support tender processes.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Monitor project progress, quality and compliance.
• Provide professional building surveying advice across a varied property portfolio.
• Support the delivery of projects to agreed timescales and budgets.

Skills & Experience

• MRICS qualified within Building Surveying.
• Strong previous experience in a Building Surveyor or Chartered Building Surveyor role.
• Good knowledge of building pathology, construction and property maintenance.
• Experience with refurbishment, repair and improvement projects.
• Strong report-writing and client-facing skills.
• Good understanding of relevant building regulations and construction standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
